Last Saturday, January 6th, the CC Shambots went to FRC’s Kickoff at Novi High School for FIRST Power Up! We are so excited to begin this build and competition season for Power Up. We are eager to start building and designing a beautiful and effective bot this year. We hope to see all our team members at practices and have a great season!
Last weekend we competed in our first District Tournament at Woodhaven High School. The CC Shambots won a good amount of matches and the robot functioned well. Our Safety Captain, Grace, also won the “Safety Star of the Day” award. Yay! Even though we are a little sleep deprived, we had fun and are excited for our next tournament, Livonia!

After a long wait, the 2017 FRC Game has finally been revealed! Students, parents, and mentors gathered at Novi High School and learned more about the game: Steamworks! Much to our delights, the game will not involve actual flying. Phew! For more information on the fun and challenging game that Team 5907 will work with, check out the link below!
After the kickoff, the Shambots went to Catholic Central to study the game in depth and start thinking about strategies.
