The Shambots celebrated St.Patrick’s Day by doing community outreach. The team visited Our Lady of Victory in Northville, an elementary school. We showed the kids both Vex and the FRC robot. It was so much fun to show our progress and see the excitement on their faces. They were so shocked when they saw our robot shooting baskets in basketball hoops. Vex allowed the children to drive their robots and move the game materials: cubes and stars! There were also programming stations that showed the students the programming language our teams use. We cannot wait to visit more elementary schools and interested students and spread the message of FIRST!
